Rev. Martin Portillo
Senior Pastor
Reverend Martin Portillo is our Senior Pastor . He was ordained to the Pastoral Ministry on October 25, 2015.
He worked in Venezuela for several years as a computer technician and teacher. He was also a youth leader, preacher, and Bible teacher. He served as a pastor at the following Baptist churches: Redención, El Calvario, and La Fe. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology from the Theological Training Program for Pastors of the Brazilian Mission Board and from the Bible Training Center for Pastors in Tuckers, Georgia. He also holds a degree in Computer Systems Administration.
He has lived in the United States since 2017. He has been married to Egdamar Arteaga de Portillo since 1997 and has four children: Martín Romer, Emperatriz, Eliezer, and Martín Daniel. He also has two granddaughters, Antonella and Isabella.
Pastor Martin is passionate about Bible teaching and evangelism, and loves making friends and helping others in any way he can.

Jerry Prewitt
Associate Pastor James "Jerry" Prewitt is our Youth Pastor. James accepted Jesus Christ in September 1970 and was baptized that month at First Baptist Church in Cayey, Puerto Rico. Jerry holds a Master's degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia (2021).
At the age of 19, he joined the U.S. Army. What he thought would be a two-year vacation turned into a 40-year career in active duty. He accepted Christ at an early age and left his parents to pursue fame and adventure. Unfortunately, his plans didn't go as planned. He witnessed the horrors of war, the suffering of innocents, and the violence and hatred that ensues. These conditions taught him that only God is in charge. Above all, he understood that he was powerless to solve his problems and that only Jesus Christ was the answer.
Jesus changed his life. God allowed people along his path to be role models and gave him many opportunities to demonstrate through his actions how the Holy Spirit had changed him. Jerry began studying the Scriptures and teaching Bible classes, even while in combat zones.
After his retirement from military service, Jerry attended several churches in different states, where he continued his preparation to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as a soldier of God.
Every good man has a great woman by his side. Jerry has been married to Evelyn Prewitt , his partner, friend, confidant, and assistant since 2013. Jerry has three sons, James Jr., Alexander, and David. Evelyn has two daughters, Michelle and Lisandra.
